Finding your way
Your conference package will include an official Bergen guide, which is
a small booklet with visitor's information including a map of the city
center. If you want to obtain this guide before the conference, you can
pick one up at the airport information desk or at the tourist information
office in the city center.
Be sure to read the local information web pages
including the venue and other practical information, as well as the different
programme pages including the social programme, accessible from the conference's
frontpage.
Accommodation problems
On May 24 it has come to the attention of the local organization committee
that the conference bureau, Travel Planners Congress, has informed some
participants that they are unable to provide accommodation for the requested
period. The bureau has also - without our authorization - asked those participants
to change travel plans. We regret that this has happened.
In spite of their unfortunate messages, Travel Planners Congress has
continued to find hotel rooms and on May 28 they confirmed that all problems
were solved. If you have not yet gotten a confirmation, then please call
Travel Planners Congress immediately (+47 5523-0070). It is our policy
that accommodation will be provided for all participants, even if we ask
for tolerance in case the hotel of the participant's first choice is full
and has to be substituted.
Computers and audiovisual equipment
Participants presenting papers or giving demos who have a need for any
kind of projector, computer, electrical outlet, internet connection or
any
other technical means necessary for presentation should by now have signaled
this need and should have gotten a clear confirmation that this need will
be provided for. If you have have such a need but you have not received
clear confirmation, please get urgently in touch with the technical
coordinators Manfred Thaller (tel. +47 55589468) and Anders Frihagen (tel.
+47 55589462) on the local organization committee. Presenters should
install and get familiar with the presentation equipment before
their session starts.
